Roger & Rosemary Gray - OAC Ministries
Roger was born in Bournemouth and has one sister and Rosemary was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland into a family 8 (6 boys, 2 girls).
Roger became a Christian at the age of 22 and Rosemary was 13.
After leaving school Roger worked in a Bank before becoming a qualified Certified Accountant and Rosemary did secretarial work in a large Shipping Office before becoming a PA in the Baptist Union of Ireland Offices.
We met at the Bible Training Institute in Glasgow (now called International Christian College) in 1978. Roger did a two year Diploma Course and Rosemary completed a three year Diploma Course along with the Cambridge University Certificate. It was during our time at Bible College that we started to attend the Findlay Memorial Church (called "The Tabernacle" in those days). Part of our outreach with the College was to work with Churches and Roger did one year as student assistant pastor with Arthur Williams and Rosemary was involved in visiting members along with another student. After completing our courses at Bible College, Roger worked as an Accountant with Scripture Union Scotland and Rosemary as PA to the Director of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. We joined the Findlay Church after finishing College and got involved in many of the activities. Roger headed up the Outreach, both served as deacons at different times and Rosemary was heavily involved in children's/youth work, pastoral, community and child protection.
In 1984 we felt God's call to evangelism in Scotland under the auspices of Open Air Campaigners which is a interdenominational organisation serving in 27 countries.
The Mission is over 100 years old and began in Australia and came to Britain in 1968. We use a visual aid - sketchboard (paints) to attract people.
Our Motto – “Presenting Christ by all means everywhere”.

We have been with OAC for over 25 years. After being based in Glasgow for 31 years we felt God leading us to move to a new location. After praying for over a year we handed over most of the work in Scotland to volunteers who are continuing the open airs and schools work.
27th March 2009 we moved to Bridlington, East Yorkshire in order to establish a new Branch of OAC in Yorkshire.
OPEN AIRS
Commenced in Bridlington April 2009 with volunteers from a number of different Churches. These take place each Friday (March to October) from 12.30-1.30pm. The team meet 12.15 for prayer and report back after the open airs. During the summer months open airs take place down by the harbour just below McDonalds.

SCHOOLS
Great opportunity to share Bible Stories in 27 Primary Schools and 2 Secondary Schools each term.

Many of the children we reach don’t attend Church or Sunday School. We are often the first contact they have with the Christian message.
CHURCHES
Opportunities to preach at a number of Churches in Bridlington has been encouraging. We are praying for more Churches to open up for Sunday and midweek meetings not only in Bridlington but further afield in Yorkshire.
We are involved in the Saturday Market with the Harbourside Church who have a stall from 9am-4pm and operates on a rota basis.

From time to time questionnaires on the doors are done so that we can find out who and what the needs are in the local area.
COMMUNITY
"Cards For All Occasions" and "Stitching Cards" are two craft groups which Rosemary has commenced in our home on Wednesday mornings - they run alternate Wednesdays. This is a great way of getting to know people in the local community.
Roger has joined the local Tennis Club, and Rosemary the University of the Third Age and Swimming - this is a good way to get to know folk as well as "keep fit!"
